Scripted Academy CE courses educate pharmacists to prescribe directly to patients for common conditions
Scripted (scripted.co), in collaboration with the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy, has launched Scripted Academy, an online education platform that educates pharmacists to provide value-based care.
Scripted Academy (academy.scripted.co) launched today with 14 Continuing Education (CE) courses for pharmacists, providing clinical information and case-based education to prescribe for common conditions such as urinary tract infections and erectile dysfunction when allowable. Pharmacists who take Scripted Academy courses will have the knowledge and perspective of thinking like a provider who can prescribe directly to patients for these conditions, saving the health system time and money.
These courses are accredited by ACPE. For pharmacies already using the Scripted platform to issue new prescriptions, these training courses come at no additional cost.
Scripted founder James Lott, PharmD., stated “As a pharmacist myself, I know that many CE offerings for pharmacists don’t help them to practice at the top of their licenses. Scripted Academy is different — we believe the future of pharmacy is value-based care, and we’re building the platform and the support systems needed to bring us into the future.”
Mary Moody BSPharm, Associate Dean at UIC College of Pharmacy “We are excited to partner with such a forward-thinking company like Scripted. We are committed to providing high-quality education programs that expand the role of the pharmacist in the community.”
Access to Scripted Academy CE courses starts at $30. Scripted Academy currently features the following courses, with more on the way:
